Loch

Initially the town was built around the railway service and this allowed for most of the town's infrastructure to be developed.

The railway closed in the 1990's and the town slowed down until recently, when it was re-branded as 'Loch Village'. The town is now extremely popular with South Gippsland locals and tourists from inner-city suburbs, with plenty of boutique hospitality venues, collectable stores and accomodation for a country getaway.

Major attractions to Loch include the Loch Brewery & Distillery, the Loch Wine Bar, Olive at Loch, The Old Print Shop Cafe, the Victoria Street Gallery and the historic trestle bridge. Notable events include the monthly Sunday variety market and the annual Food & Wine Festival.
